Groundwater treatment plant for the removal of phenazone, BTEX, H₂S
Treated media: Soil, Groundwater
Flow rate: 75 m3/h
Substances: BTEX, H₂S, Phenazone
Processes: Adsorption, Activated Carbon, Desorption
Commissioning: 2005
KF Company: Harbauer Berlin GmbH
The groundwater, which is mainly contaminated with BTEX, pharmaceutical-typical substances, and H2S, is fed from 4 wells to the groundwater treatment plant with a flow rate of 75–80 m3/h, cleaned, and then filtered through more than 60 infiltration wells. The water necessary for infiltration is generated by the groundwater purification plant; in addition, a net extraction from the groundwater takes place to ensure emissions. This excess water is knocked off into the hovel after cleaning. In total, about 140 tons of pollutants have been eliminated so far.
